Trick to hide your Wifi network

Do you want to Hide your Ptcl WiFi Wireless Signals from unknown devices, If yes then through this informative article you will be able to know that how to hide Wireless access point of your PTCL device.
Below you can find the self explanatory images, You just need to follow simple steps to Hide your Ptcl WiFi signals.

1. Visit 192.168.1.1 from your default browser i.e Google Crome
2. Enter Username And Password, In this Case User Name and Password is Admin.
3. Click On Wireless Button.
4. Click On Hide Access Point Check Button.

To connect your hidden wifi to your android phone, follow the steps below:

1. Go to your phone Setting> Wi-Fi> Click Add Wi-Fi network

2. In the Network SSID, type your wifi network name.

3. If you’ve enabled wpa in your router then in the security select WPA/WPA2/FT PSK, Look at the screenshot

4. Finally, in the Password box, type your wi-fi password & hit the connect to connect your hidden wifi to your smartphone.

How to reboot your router

Hello everyone. Today, I am going to let you know about the method of rebooting your Broadband. Rebooting your is necessary in such situation where you make certain changes to your router and then you want to apply those changes.


It is very easy to reboot your PTCL BroadBand without any physical contact to your BroadBand. Follow up the following steps and get your router rebooted within few seconds.
1. Start by logging into your router’s admin panel. For me, this means going to 192.168.1.1 in my browser, but it may or may not be the same for you. For example, most Net gear users can reach it by going to router login.net instead. Note that you may need a wired LAN connection to your router for the browser login to work.
2. Go to Management option.
3. Select Reboot option located at subminue of Management.
4. Click the Reboot button.
Thats the simple way to reboot your router from your PC or Self phone.

Hide your wireless network from other self phones

How to hide PTCL WiFi network from neighbor's self phones
Hiding your SSID network from other self phones is not that much difficult task. Today, from this post you will be able to come to know about the simple method of hiding your WiFi network.
Start by logging into your router’s admin panel. For me, this means going to 192.168.1.1 in my browser, but it may or may not be the same for you. For example, most Net gear users can reach it by going to router login.net instead. Note that you may need a wired LAN connection to your router for the browser login to work.


Next, look in the navigation bar for the Wireless section. If you have sub menus, look around for something close to Wireless Settings, Wireless Options, Wireless > Basic Settings, etc. Then  markup the "Hide Access Point" option. Following is the Step wise procedure.
1. Login to your PTCL account by typing providing username and password. The are probably present on the back side of your router.
2. Go to wireless option and select Basic.
3. Tick the "Hide Access Point" option.
4. Click the Apply button below.

After following the procedure described and shown above, your neighbor would not be able to detect your WiFi network signal on their self phones.

How to limit the speed of a user over your router

Method to control the speed of someone over router



Hello everyone, today I am going to show you how to control the speed of any IP address user just in few steps. It is necessary when someone is consuming most of internet speed. Following are the main steps to control it.
1. Login to your WiFi admin account. i.e. 102.168.1.1 or it can be different.
2. Go to Advanced setup.
3. Select Bandwidth Control.
4. Type the IP address of the user, whose speed is to be controlled.
5. Give the amount of uploading and downloading speed. i.e. up speed can be 10-50 and down speed can be 50-max limit.
6. Click Add and then Save it.
7. Click Apply button.
That is a very simple method and it is used when you need a max speed for yourself.

How do I remove or add a MAC address to a wireless clients list in PTCL Broadband

»To add or remove a MAC address from a wireless clients list in PTCL Broadband:

1. Open a web browser. In the browser’s address field, type the http:// followed by the IP address that you assigned to the wireless controller.
2. By default, the IP address is 192.168.1.1. If you have not yet assigned another IP address to the wireless controller, type http://192.168.0.250.
3. The wireless controller’s login screen displays.


4. Enter your user name and password. By default, you can find them on the back side of your Broadband..
5. Click the Login button.
6. The wireless controller’s web management interface opens and displays the Summary screen.

Select Wireless > Mac Filter.


The basic MAC Authentication screen displays.
In the Selected Wireless Clients list, select the check boxes that correspond to the MAC addresses that you want to remove.
Click the Remove button.
Click the Apply button.
In similar way you can add Mac Address by selecting Add button. And then Click on Apply button.

Thats all.
